
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Arrange the pear halves, cut side up, in an ovenproof dish. Sprinkle evenly with cinnamon and scatter the star anise around the pears. Lightly brush each pear with melted butter. Pour ½ cup of water into the base of the dish to prevent burning and create gentle steam while baking.
Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the pears are tender, caramelised and lightly golden.
Transfer the warm pears to a serving board and serve with melted dark chocolate, yoghurt and biscotti.
Serve immediately while the pears are still warm.
